Um incêndio de grande proporção destruiu a loja da Farmácia Camacã da Avenida Flamengo, no Bairro Primavera, na manhã desta quarta-feira, 26/08/15, possivelmente provocado por um curto-circuito na rede elétrica.
A parte térrea do prédio onde funcionava a farmácia ficou completamente destruída e queimou tudo que havia no local. Os moradores vizinhos ao perceberem uma cortina de fumaça e um barulho oriundos do referido prédio, acionaram a Polícia Militar, que chegou imediatamente ao local.
Também foram acionados a COMUTRAN para isolar o tráfego de veículo nas vias de acesso ao endereço, a Brigada de Incêndio e Emergência da Vulcabrás/Azaleia, a Associação de Bombeiros e Brigadistas de Itapetinga, a Polícia Civil e a Guarda Municipal.
Uma união de forças das instituições envolvidas no combate às chamas e o trabalho de rescaldo, fez toda a diferença, pois não fossem esses heróis que não medem esforços para atuar na cidade de Itapetinga, uma tragédia poderia ter ocorrido.
As causas do incêndio ainda não foram relevadas, até porque, o resultado da perícia do DPT de Itapetinga tem um prazo para ser concluído e encaminhado à Delegacia Territorial.
Uma equipe da Polícia Civil esteve no local e registrou Boletim de Ocorrência. O delegado Dr. Marcos Larocca expediu Guia de Perícia de Local e vai aguardar resultado com as causas do incêndio.
O trabalho conjunto das instituições envolvidas foi coroado de êxito, mas ainda existem alguns bombeiros e brigadistas no local acompanhando e verificando toda área afetada pelas chamas.

Today, a pharmacy located on Avenida Flamengo, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, is facing a great tragedy. Early in the morning, flames were witnessed rising from the building, and shortly thereafter, the whole structure was engulfed in flames. Firefighters were contacted right away, but the damages could not be contained.
The fire, which occurred at 7:45AM, completely destroyed the building, wiping out the pharmacy and its entire inventory. As the fire intensified and spread, the building collapsed, leaving only a large heap of rubble behind.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, but firefighters and local police are still investigating. The Firefighter Corps of Rio de Janeiro has not yet provided an official statement, but it is believed that the cause of the fire may have been electrical.
Given the intensity of the fire, the rubble must now undergo thorough analysis to determine the exact origin of the disaster. All safety and security protocols were followed during the entire event and no one was injured.
All of the employees of the pharmacy, who were present at the time of the fire, were immediately evacuated and relocated to a safe location. More information on the incident should be released soon as local authorities are awaiting further results from the investigation.
Clearly, today’s fire is a great tragedy to everyone and the effects will be felt for a long time. The community of Avenida Flamengo, and the whole city of Rio de Janeiro, has suffered a great loss and many people will be affected by the closure of such an important pharmacy.
